To Jocelyn and family
My sister Rhonda Brown Ellis and I knew Linda from our days in the University of Akron Gospel Choir. I marveled at how well your Mother could play the piano and sing. She could bring in the praise! Even then there no doubt that God had given Linda a special anointing.....and Praise God for 52 years she honored God's call to service in the Music Ministry at Elizabeth Baptist Church. We offer your entire family our prayers and love. May God comfort you every time you hear a song that your mother once played, sang or enjoyed. Truly she blessed me through her music. My sympathy and love to all of you who mourn Linda.

To the Family,

Even though we all know that life has to complete its circle, we still feel the hurt and pain of loss. Our consolation is knowing Linda has received her crown. She is now singing and playing in our King's choir. Everyday is of joy and thanksgiving. God will supply us all with the comfort and understanding of His Will and bring us brighter days. Rest well my friend. May God continue to keep u all in His care, just know I will be continuously lifting all of u in prayer during these days of transition and after,God Bless and keep U.

Jocelyn and Family,
I am so very sorry to hear of Linda's passing. The last time I saw her was at your concert. I have great memories of her sitting next to me and singing at the Worshiping Women Concerts. She was so much fun to be around; most importantly, a true Women of God! I will surely miss her.

The Bible says, life is like a vapor. Here now and shortly, gone. Man that is born of woman, is of a few days and full of trouble. On Sunday, Linda sang, soon I will be done with the troubles of the world, I'm going home to live with the Lord. She reminded us that absence from the body is presence with the Lord. I had just seen her less than two weeks ago. She appeared to be well and full of life. Our time and timing are not the same as God's. If I looked up Linda in the dictionary, I would find the words, beautiful lady. She always carried herself as a lady and exuded grace, charm and beauty. Beauty on the inside and outside were a great part of whom she was as a person. She played many roles in life, but the one she was most proud of was, Mother. Becoming a Mither was a choice she never regretted. She raised her daughter in the fear and admonition of the Lord. She was a gifted musician, singer and worshipper of God. I won't think of her as gone, just away. Not far away, just in the next room. We know this is not good bye, rather until we meet again! She is now singing with the heavenly choir and singing, free at last, free at last, thank God Almighty, I'm free at last. Good bye world, I'm, gone, it's the Holy Ghost and Fire, heaven lead me on, good bye world, I'm gone! Be not dismayed, God is taking care of her!
