Schumacher
Mary Ann Schumacher was born February 22, 1955 to the late Frank and Ruth Schumacher. For 14 years she fought a courageous battle with breast cancer but on March 12, 2019 she lost the fight.
Upon graduating from high school, she found employment with the phone company as part of their clerical team. She retired after 30 years at the age of 48.
During her life she did a lot of traveling with her family, the most memorable were the years she traveled the world with her niece, before she accepted a job with D&M Subway. They worked with her as she was going thru treatments. She was a member of Grace UCC of Loyal Oak (GLO), and volunteered in the church office.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, George and grandmother, Beatrice Hoeferle. She leaves to mourn her passing her loving siblings: brother, Harold (Linda); her twin sister, Ruth Ann; and sister-in-law, Patricia; nieces and nephew, Colleen, Kevin (Holly), Dawn (Randy), Amanda; and 10 great-nieces and nephews that she loved and adored; also a very special friend that was like a second mother to her, Tookie Mullen.

Calling hours will be Friday, 5 to 8 p.m. at Ciriello & Carr Funeral Home, 39 S. Miller Rd. in Fairlawn, where services will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m., with Rev. Kurt Weiser, Dr. Donard Engle and Rev. Richard Schumacher officiating.
Final resting place, Mount Peace Cemetery.

Prayers for the family. We Met the Schumacher family at Grace UCC when my husband and I joined. Truly a warm friendly loving family.
Mary Ann will be missed I am sure. Always a smile and a very comforting word.

Thinking of you all and the day I got to meet Mary Ann, just before Christmas. Such a warm and loving lady. Her smile says it all. So happy to have met her. So happy she had such a caring, loving family to embrace her daily. May she rest in peace and my your family always cherish their special memories together with Mary Ann.

To my precious Harold, Kevin, and Family
I just wanted you to know that I am praying for you during this very difficult time. I know I can't take the hurt away, but I can ask the Lord to hold you close to his heart and strengthen you. Just remember his love will see you through this dark valley. Take one moment at a time and remember your loved one would not want you to carry this sorrow because she loved you. Remember she is as close to you as the most treasured memory. May you feel the Lord's arms around you. May you find peace in this storm. I send all my love as I lay your sorrow at the feet of Jesus.

I went to elementary and high school with Mary Ann and her twin Ruth Ann. Then for years (decades really) took care of them in the shoe store. Their mother and brother too, before they passed, and a host of their nieces and nephews. I counted the entire family among my most loyal customers. Especially Mary Ann and Ruth Ann. They would leave if I wasn't there, and come back when I was, even if the intent was only to make a tiny purchase like shoe strings. Our interactions were always an exchange of humor and good will. It's a part of the job I miss. RIP sweet gentle Mary Ann. Your memory is for a blessing. Much love to Ruth Ann.
