Ryland C. Williams II (Binky), 35, was called home on Aug. 23, 2006, at the VA Hospital in Cleveland, Ohio.
He has been reunited with his loving mother, Diane Williams; grandmothers, Bertha Johnson and Geneva Williams; grandfather, Wilson Williams; and an uncle, Lawrence (Sonny) Palmer.
Ryland was a 1988 graduate of Lakeshore High School in Atlanta, Ga., and shortly thereafter enlisted in the Air Force, stationed mostly in Germany. He was united in marriage and from that union a daughter was born.
Binky was an avid music lover, unconditionally committed to his family and a true child of God. He leaves, to mourn his loss: wife, Natalia, and daughter, Michelle, both of Germany; a loving father, Ryland (Bubba) Williams I; sister, Yolonda Williams; brother, Bryan Williams, all of Akron; a host of aunts, uncles; surrogate aunt, Lula Mae Cross of Akron; other relatives and friends.
Homegoing services will be Wednesday, Aug. 30, 2006, 12 NOON, at the United Baptist Church, 1007 S. Hawkins Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320. Services entrusted to the Sommerville Funeral Services (330-836-2725). Condolences can be sent to 1651 Delia Ave., Akron, Ohio 44320.

It's almost been two months since I heard about Binky's passing. Didn't get the chance to make the memorial service so I'd just like to stop by here to pay my last respects and send my condolensces to the rest of the family. He was definitely a good person and a strong influential figure in my life for the time I've gotten to know him. Hated the fact I couldn't see him again before he passed away, though I'm satisfied in knowing he's in God's hands now first and foremost along with the fact I at least had the chance to let him know of the impact he's made on me(as I'm positive he's done with a countless number of others who've crossed his path) before he left the states. Rest In Peace Ryland, you live on within our hearts.
