My dear Keith, Julia, Sarah and others,

I am extremely saddened by this very late discovery that Sallie passed away in 2004. I was looking for all and any of you and started with her name. You are all always in my mind and heart for your love and grace during my studies at Kent State University. Sallie was a dear friend and was like a sister to me.

Keith, Erin & Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I was trying to think of something to write about Sally and all I kept thinking of was what a beautiful person she was - not only on the outside, but more importantly on the inside. She never had a bad word about anyone, although she did have quite a sly sense of humor. Erin, she was so proud of you and spoke of you often. I feel lucky to of had Sally as a friend and will always remember her with a smile. My prayers and thoughts are with you. God Bless.

We were so saddened today, when we learned of Sallie's death. Our families have been friends for many years. Our kids, Dave, Leslie and Tom and the Scalf kids (at that time)...Sallie, Lynn and Doug "grew up" together through their school years...Sallie seemed to always be smiling and she was a very good listener. We cherish our happy memories of those days and send Judy and the family our sincere sympathy and love. Chuck and Evie

I was deeply saddened and shocked to learn of the loss of Sallie. Due to the distance, it had been years since I last saw Sallie. I have, however, carried the bonds of friendship that were formed while we were growing up in Ohio. Our parents were very close friends, I was close to Lynn and Sallie and my younger brother Tom was close to Doug. We spent many wonderful times together as children on sleepovers, at church functions, canning peaches, picking berries and just being carefree children. Sallie was always the tall, sleek and graceful one of the bunch with a great smile and sly sense of humor. I am greatful to have known her as a child. My condolences and love go out to her family and all who loved her.........Leslie (Delamater) Aitken
