William Shackelford Obituary
Bill Shackelford, 45, went home to be with the Lord on September 9, 2013.
He was born on August 22, 1968. He graduated from Tallmadge High School in 1986. Most of his life he worked on refinishing hardwood floors with his close friends, the Prete family. Bill was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan and enjoyed fishing, golfing, and watching sports.
He is survived by his parents, Robert and Diane Shackelford; sister, Bobbie (David) Armour; and brothers, James (Sara) and Tim (Shalon); four nephews; five nieces; grandmother, Emma Dickerhoof; and many uncles, aunts, and cousins. Gone but never forgotten.
Calling hours will be Friday, 3 to 5 p.m., at NEWCOMER FUNERAL HOME, 131 N. Canton Rd., Akron, with a funeral service to follow at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Haven of Rest Ministries.

Our tree house, next door neighbors, riding our bikes, playin football in the snow (Bill would lick his fingers as QB lol), bb gun fights, his laugh, his smile, his honesty, his friendship. I'll continue to enjoy fond memories like those. Russ

James, Tim, and Family my thoughts and prayers are with you and this devastating loss... The memories I have of Bill were fun and laughter... We went to cedar point he got me to ride that stupid roller coaster that made me sick and he laughed at me the whole time... I have quite fond memories of him... I went to school with Bill & am so saddened to know of his passing. Sending prayers for God to give comfort and strength to his family and loved ones thru this very difficult time. Losing a loved one before 'their time' is very painful. God will carry you, ease your pain and He will take beautiful care of Bill!
