May 24, 1946 - June 9, 2018 EDMOND Helen Louise Jackson, 72, of Edmond, OK, took her seat in heaven Saturday, June 9, 2018. She was born on May 24, 1946, in Mannford, OK to Hallie and Dixie Nix. Helen lived most of her life in Edmond, where she enjoyed writing for the Edmond Sun and many years as an employee and patron of Around the Corner Restaurant. Helen loved to write and had many amazing stories to tell. During her life, she had two books published: "Recipes From the Heart" and "A Product of the 60s." Helen was blessed with four sons whom she loved with all her heart! She was preceded in death by her parents; her sister, Lou Woodall; and her son, Richard "Ritchey" Morava. She is survived by her brother, Grover Nix & his wife Betty, of Blanchard, OK; and three sons, Timothy Morava & wife Beatriz, of Guthrie, OK; Jamie Mathis & wife Karreen, of Bethany, OK; and Stewart Jackson, of Edmond, OK. Helen has 10 grandchildren as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Helen loved her family, her friends, casinos, Elvis and crazy adventures. She will be deeply missed and NEVER forgotten. Services will be at Matthews Funeral Home, 601 S. Kelly, Edmond, OK. A Viewing will take place on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, 2 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, June 13 at 10 a.m.
