SANDRA PRICE Obituary

Sandra Aileen Price
September 3, 1943 - December 5, 2019

OKLAHOMA CITY
A beloved mother, grandmother, sister, cousin, and friend, Sandra Aileen Price passed away unexpectedly, at 76, on December 5, 2019. Born in Oklahoma City to Norman and Jane Thompson on September 3, 1943, Sandy, as she was known, grew up in Oklahoma City, where she attended Bishop John Carroll School and Bishop McGuinness High School. She later attended Oklahoma State University, where she met D.J. Stuart, Jr., whom she married on June 12, 1965.
After living in Oklahoma City, Maryland, and Colorado Springs, Sandy and D.J. settled in Pawhuska, OK with their four children. Sandy made many wonderful friends there, whom she cherished to her final moments. After D.J.'s untimely passing in 1983, Sandy and her children relocated to Oklahoma City, where she continued raising her children and resumed working for her parents' business, Bellevue Health and Rehab. She loved working with her father, whose care and compassion equaled her own. She married her second love, John Price, in 1987, to whom she was married for 18 years, until his passing in 2006. She spent many wonderful years with John and assisted him with his family farm. After John's passing, Sandy spent 10 touching years with her partner, Bob Craig, until his passing in 2017.
Sandy was a sweet soul, whose bright smile and kindness made everyone she met feel special. She took a genuine interest in everyone she met. Anytime she knew someone was in need, she reached out. She devoted her life to helping others.
Most of all, she loved her children and grandchildren deeply and treasured every moment with them. Her greatest joy was spending time with them and going to their events. For the past two years, she loved living in her new home in Edmond and took so much delight in spending time with her family, getting to know her new neighbors, and enjoying more time with her cherished high school friends.
Sandy is preceded in passing by her parents, Norman and Jane Thompson; husband, D.J. Stuart, Jr.; husband, John Price; and partner, Bob Craig. She is lovingly remembered by her four children, Kelley Fuechsel, Jeffrey (Heather) Stuart, Hollie Stuart, and Matthew (Laurel) Stuart; her six grandchildren, Jackson Stuart, Caitlyn Stuart, Audrey Stuart, Jaclyn Fuechsel, Chris Fuechsel, and Buzzie Fuechsel; her siblings, Norman (Terri) Thompson, Diane (Pat) Burgess, Bob Thompson, Nancy (Steve) Hardeman, Stephen (Cheri) Thompson, and David (Kathy) Thompson; as well as her numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, grandcats, and granddogs.
A viewing will be held at Smith & Kernke at 14624 N. May Ave., Oklahoma City, OK 73134, from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM, on Friday, December 13. Funeral services for Sandy will be held at St. Luke's United Methodist Church in Oklahoma City on Saturday, December 14, at 10:00 AM. Flowers can be sent to Smith & Kernke Funeral Services.

To Sandy's family, Today I learned of her passing and was so sad that I did not know about it. Although I only got to know her only in last 2 years she was such a joy. I enjoyed getting to help her with the sale of her farm and buying her wonderful home in town. She was so excited to be closer to all her loved ones! May God be with the family as they
remember all the great memories! Sincerely, Gary Atchley

Sandy was one of the nicest ladies I've ever known - she was so selfless in taking care of her friend, Bob, through the years. I will miss knowing she's in this world.

Sending deepest condolences to the families. I will always remember Sandy smiling, laughing, and being full of genuine joy. It was an honor to know and work around her during my training at Bellevue.
