Sara Bales-Griffith Obituary

Sara Ann Bales-Griffith On the evening of Christmas Eve, Dec. 24, 2002, Toby and Dallas Griffith were blessed with the birth of a beautiful baby girl, Sara Ann. In the next two years of her life (only 745 days) she just melted the hearts of everyone who came into contact with her. Sara loved to smile and she loved to hug. She loved to share and even help to show she cared. She was becoming very independent. But sadly last Thanksgiving Sara came down with a virus that her immune system was unable to fight. And despite the blessing of receiving a liver transplant on Dec. 23, 2004, the day before her 2nd birthday, on Thursday night, January 6, 2005, Sara Ann was taken to Heaven to live in eternal peace with our Lord and all her ancestors. She is survived by her mother and father, Dallas and Toby Griffith; her sisters: (twins) Angela and Brittany, 8; Christina, 6; and Kirsten, 7 months; her maternal grandparents, Roy and Margaret Bales; and her paternal grandparents, Eddie and Debra Griffith; a huge family on both sides; friends from Kids USA Day care where she attended; and the entire medical staff of Baptist Integris Medical Center. Sara deeply touched each and every one of us, and we will always love Sara with all our hearts. Sara will forever be missed, not a day will go by that we will not thank God for the time we were given to share life with her. We are all God's children first and we all are sent here with a special job to complete. Sara has completed her job: she overwhelmed our hearts with the compassion of love. We love you Sara and we will miss you dearly. Rest in peace in our Lord Jesus Christ's arms. One day we will all be together with you to give and receive an eternal life of big hugs and warm happy smiles with love. Services will be at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 8, 2005 at The Faith Community Christian Church of Choctaw, OK. (Take I-40 E. to Choctaw Rd.; go N. to Reno; the church is on the SE corner of Reno and Choctaw Rd.) Prior viewing before the service is possible from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sat. Jan. 8th. at the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home. (between Douglas and Midwest Blvd.) Flowers or gifts can be sent to the Funeral Home or Memorial contributions in lieu of flowers to help Sara's family with personal and/or medical expenses can be sent to either the Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home, or The OKC Thrift Fed. Credit Union, c/o Eddie Griffith for granddaughter Sara Ann Trust, P.O. Box 25125, OKC 73125-0125 (Phone: 405-475-3680) Sara's family would like to thank everyone for all their prayers and support through these trying times. We know the Lord heard.
