Betty Conklin, loving wife, mother and grandmother

SALAMANCA - Mrs. Betty Conklin, 84, of Salamanca, died Tuesday (Feb. 22, 2022) in Salamanca, following a short illness.

Born May 11, 1937, in Bradford, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Eugene and Laura Jones Miller. She was married on April 22, 1962, in Salamanca, to Mr. Clair Conklin, who predeceased her in 2018.

Mrs. Conklin was employed at Larimer & Norton of Ellicottville, the former Sheble & Woods Woolen Mills and the former Seneca Craftsman, both of Salamanca, prior to her retirement.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Salamanca Volunteer Fire Company.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. In her younger years, she enjoyed bowling and tending her flowers.

Surviving are two daughters, Amy Ginnitti, of Little Valley and Brenda (Tony) Pascarella of Salamanca; nine grandchildren, Christy Hart, Michael Miller, Jay Miller, Katie Miller, Ashley Miller, Sierra Whitmore, Logan Whitmore, Deni Whitmore and Emily Ginnitti; two brothers, Charlie Miller of Salamanca and Larry (Laurie) Miller of Little Valley; and several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two daughters, Wanda Miller and Bonnie Miller; eight sisters, Edith Miller, Barbara Cleveland, Ruth Miller, Jessie Miller, Baby Miller, Pearl Gynnip, Loretta Jimerson and Mary Quigley; and two brothers, George Miller and Percy Miller.

There will be no visitation. A springtime graveside committal service will be held at Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, at the convenience of the family and will be announced.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River St., Salamanca.
