Brian Manning Obituary
Born May 12, 1961, in Olean, he was the son of Donald R. and Patricia Harrington Manning.
Brian was a 1979 graduate of Olean High School.
He had worked for Stroehmann Bakeries, AMC and Tops Friendly Markets.
He was an avid New York Yankees, Buffalo Bills and St. Bonaventure men's basketball fan. He enjoyed the great outdoors and loved hunting, fishing, hiking and golfing.
Brian will be remembered as compassionate and loving towards all people. He was an amazing son, father, grandfather and brother.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his four children, Bradley (Nina) Manning of Hinsdale, Patricia Stayer of Olean, Melissa Manning of Olean and Amanda Manning of Olean; 19 grandchildren; two sisters, Denise (Allen) Peters of Olean and Lisa (Paul) Marra of Allegany; many aunts, uncles and cousins; and several nieces and nephews.
Brian was predeceased by his maternal and paternal grandparents; a brother, Gregory Manning in 1984; and an infant brother, Richard.
Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Thursday (Jan. 4, 2018) at 10 a.m. at the Basilica of St. Mary of the Angels. The Very Rev. Gregory J. Dobson, pastor, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institute, Elm and Carlton Streets, Buffalo, NY 14263.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Guenther Funeral Home, Inc., 1303 E. State St., Olean.

So sad to hear Brian passed away. My cousins lived next door to the Manning's on McCann Hollow. We had a lot of good times as children. I saw Brian in 2016 & we talked for awhile. Never thought it would be the last time. My condolences to the Manning family.
