Gary Cochran Obituary

LIMESTONE - Gary L. Cochran, 69, of Limestone passed away Tuesday (May 15, 2012) from injuries sustained in a tractor accident at his home.
Born April 28, 1943, in Bradford, Pa., he was raised by his mother and stepfather, Alvin and Clara Buchanan Falconer.
Gary graduated from Bradford High School, class of 1961. He retired from the Laborer's Union of Pennsylvania after more than 30 years, but he continued working for the Laborer's Union of New York until about 2004, when he retired to work around his house and on his farm, which he enjoyed doing.
Gary is survived by two sons, Alvin (Denise) Cochran of Limestone and Paul (Jeanna) Cochran of Sugar Hill, Ga.; two daughters, Shirley Hatch (Dale Magee) of Rixford, Pa., and Teresa (Darrell) Cockrell of Decatur, Ala.; many grandchildren; many great-granchildren; and a sister, Joy (John) Tarasek of Limestone.
At his request, there will be no public services at this time.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department #1, 5886 Church St., Limestone, NY 14753; the Limestone Volunteer Fire Department #2, 580 Parkside Drive, Limestone, NY 14753; or the SPCA, 2944 Route 16, Olean, NY 14760. Arrangements are under the direction of the Letro-McIntosh-Spink Funeral Home Inc., 646 E. State St., Olean.
