Mary Jane...what can I say except that you were you. I went back to Highland Park High School as an adult to finish high school and this woman that started out as my teacher became a sister to me. Good-bye and Godspeed my friend.

To the family of Mary Jane Gregory, I have nothing but fond memoires of Ms Gregory and coco the pet monkey at HPH class of 1978. She was an inspiration to us all. I can recall for many years after graduation visiting her at the school. She was truly a blessing to us all with her warm smile and those beautiful dimples. RIP Ms Gregory job well done. Mary Jane Gregory was such a fantastic teacher and a force in life with her gentle ways. Through her, I came to understand so much about myself and others. She also taught different ways to look at life and these carry me to this day. I will have nothing but great memories of her during a very difficult time in my life.

I know that we don't live forever but she will live on in the hearts of all the many lives she touched.

Blessings to the family of Ms Gregory.

Dr. Mary Jane was my favorite teacher. She is key to the person I have become, and I owe her so much. Dr. Mary Jane had so much love and compassion for her students, and her blessings continued, as my daughter had her for psychology also. My heart weeps. Mary Jane just wasn't my teacher...she was my heart.

RIP Mary Jane. I love you.

Peace and love to your family.

Sincerely, Resa Boydston

highland park was a happier place with ms. gregory there. even on days you didn't think you could stand another minute, her smile and "happy ____ day!" (insert animal, insect, amphibian of your choice) would make it better. not only was she a wonderful teacher but she was a wonderful person as well. when my father passed away in 1988 she came to the visitation to talk with my mother and i. she was such a comfort to both of us and it was such a surprise as i was a 1985 graduate. she took the time to help a former student through one of the toughest times in her life. i will never forget her. mary jane, you have a special place in heaven and the world will be a sadder place without you.

Miss Gregory was my psychology teacher while I was at Highland Park High School. She was also a friend. Such a good listener and helped me through some very tough times. She truly loved what she did, and she cared about the kids. We had so much fun with her. Your family should be very proud of all that she accomplished and the memories that she made. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family.

I am a 1979 Grad of HPHS. Ms Gregory was my Psychology teacher. She left a great legacy for the enitre school system and the State of Kansas. She was a valued educator. Part of her Psychology class centered around Death and Dying - from her teachings - I am now employed at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home. Thank you Ms Gregory for all your teachings and your compassion. You made learning very enjoyable...We did return your stuffed animals.

On behalf of the Highland Park High School family, I would like to extend our sincere condolences to the family. At a recent alumni gathering, many of her former students shared their appreciation for the impact Ms. Gregory made on their decisions to further their education and to inspire others as she had inspired them. She left a rich legacy and we value her great contributions to the faculty and students of Highland Park.

Miss Gregory was my Psycology Clas teacher at HPHS. We used to hold her stuff-animals for good grades in her class...It was about 2 yeasr ago when I finally told her who it was. She was a great teacher. It wasn't for Ms Gregory, I would not be working for Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home in Topeka, Kansas. After completing the Death & Dying Class, I knew this calling was ment for me. I look forward to visting with her your family on Monday at the funeral. May She Rest In Peace.

I am so sorry to hear of Mary Jane's Passing. She helped me a few years back on some family history for my Uncle, George P. Quinn who disappeared in World War II. I enjoyed visiting with her about the family. She will be in our thoughts and prayers.
