Terri Hoffmeister Obituary
Born in Oneida on March 14, 1959, she was the daughter of Clarence "Butch" and Birdy Burdick Hoffmeister of Oneida. Terri was a lifelong resident of Oneida and was a graduate of Vernon-Verona-Sherrill High School and the SUNY Institute of Technology.
Terri was currently employed by the Oneida Indian Nation as a member liaison. She was a member of the Turtle Clan and loved her Native American heritage.
Terri was a good vocalist and played guitar for various talent contests. She enjoyed camping, especially in the Adirondacks and loved her grandchildren. Recently, "The Outlaws" band, donated $15,000 to the Vanderbilt Cancer Research Center in her name.
Surviving are: her mother Birdy of Oneida; her father Butch and his companion, Nancy Smith of Oneida; three sons and one daughter-in-law, Toby and Jessica Alter of Sherburne, Jesse Alter and Scott C. Alter both of Oneida; five grandchildren, Scottie, Victoria, Kyle and Hailey Alter and Alex Neff; and one brother, Mitch Hoffmeister of Madison.
Funeral services will be held at a time and place to be announced. Arrangements are under the direction of the Campbell-Dean Funeral Home, Inc., 260 Main St., Oneida.

I miss Terri a lot, we had long talks and spent time with a lunch and laughs. She represented me during the Facilities difficult take over by Ron John. also, during my employment with the Nation... Love you Terri and believe me there has been no-one better to replace you ....

Terri will be greatly missed at Dream Catcher. I can still picture her truck parked outside and will miss chatting with her in the kitchen every day. Sympathies to her mom Birdy and the entire family.
