George M. Raun

Raun, George M., 92 of Fullerton, Ca., passed away 8/2/07 with his wife, Margaret, of 70 years at his bedside. Born 2/2/15 in Denver, Co., his family moved to Pasadena, Ca. when he was 5 years old. After attending Pasadena High School, he received his Bachelors Degree from Pasadena College, received Masters Degrees from USC and earned a Doctorate from Boston University. Serving in the Navy as a chaplain during WWII and Korea, he continued in the Naval Reserves until his retirement. He answered his calling in the church as a minister with the Methodist Church for 40 years and retired in 1979. He is survived by his wife, Margaret, of Fullerton; son, Rockwell, of Fullerton; and 2 grandchildren, Rocky, of Irvine, and Lauren, of Fullerton. A graveside service will be held at Riverside National Cemetery 8/8/07 at 10:15 a.m., and a Memorial Service is planned at Anaheim United Methodist Church on 8/22/07 at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in memory of George.
