I think of you often, and feel sad that you are not here to see your family grow. I miss you a lot and I know that my kids miss you too. I miss your e-mails trying to get me to debate with you on some issue or law. Or you calling me Marrry Lamb, because that's what Dad use to call me. Miss you much.

I awoke this morning thinking of you. An overwhelming sadness took over. As if you were just here, and then left suddenly. I tried to shrug it off and go about my daily routine. As i passed a picture of you and i, i brushed up against it and it fell. I left it there and continued with my shower. When i returned i picked up the picture and put it back into place. The song playing on the radio was Don't You (Forget About Me) by Simple Minds... I felt as though you were there and were speaking to me. And i want you to know i havent forgotten you, and miss you consatantly. I love you Papa.

I think of you often and miss seeing you when I drop off the kids or pick them up. It's just so weird. I wish you could have met Isabelle, she's a funny little girl. Just the other day Ethan saw a picture of you and said "Uncle Rudy" and just stared at it. I miss you Uncle Rudy.

I had a question for you the other day. Nothing big, just the details of a story you told me once about when you were growing up. It was an odd feeling, not being able to pick up the phone and get you on the line. I wonder how many more questions i'll have through out my life that will have to wait to be answered. Dear Cindy, Celeste, Lil Rudy, Marisa, and Robert,
Please accept my deepest sympathies. It’s funny the things we take for granted. I’m finding that the things I miss most about Uncle Rudy were the things that would annoy me when he was here, like making me watch his home movies or calling me Trin Trin the dancing machine. One of the last things he made for me was a DVD of Thomas’ football games. He called it “Gameday 2005”. I really miss him. He was very thoughtful. My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of grief. May your memories bring you comfort.

Dear Cousin Cindy, in reading Rudy's guest book he will surely be missed. My heart goes out to you and your children for the lose so young. I will always remember him with his camera in his hand snapping away at the Guerra functions. There are no words to take away the saddness, but your memories of love and happiness will endure in your heart for a life time. Comfort will come when you look at your children, how proud I know the both of you are of them and their accomplishments.
