Arthur COHEN Obituary

COHEN, Arthur

Arthur J. Cohen died peacefully at home Wednesday morning. Born in New York City, August 27, 1924, Arthur grew up in Vermont and New York. Arthur served in North Africa and Italy as a member of the Signal Corps in WWII. He attended NYU, married Joan Gilbert, and began a long career in the watch business. He was a salesman for Bulova for many years while living in West Hartford, Connecticut. He advanced to National Sales Manager and became founding President of Pulsar Time in 1978. He was an outgoing man with a ready smile. He loved golf and in retirement he and Joan moved to West Palm Beach, Florida. In 2000 the Cohens relocated to Charlottesville, Virginia to be closer to family. Arthur is survived by his wife of 65 years Joan; son Douglas of New Port Ritchie, Florida; daughter, Peggy Law of Charlottesville and granddaughter, Samantha Law of Washington, D.C. A private ceremony honoring Arthur's life will be held by the family. Donations in Arthur's memory can be made to Service Dogs of Virginia, PO Box 408, Charlottesville, VA 22902.
