Edward ROGERS Obituary

ROGERS, Edward M.

Edward M. Rogers, 77, passed away peacefully on Nov.7th, after a courageous battle with Parkinson's. Ed was born 06/14/1937 in Queens, NY. He loved and excelled in all sports. In 1961, he joined the military and played on the army baseball team traveling throughout Germany and France. Upon his return he became a NYC Corrections Officer where he attained the rank of captain before retiring in 1984. In his spare time he enjoyed playing tennis, biking and eating his wife's cooking.

He will be remembered by all those who knew him for his quick wit and sparkly blue eyes. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his devoted wife of 49 years, Hildegard Rogers, a daughter Cornelia Scaduto (Christopher), and his grandson Christopher with whom he was best buddies.

We want to thank all of our friends, old and new, who have helped us on this difficult journey. Ed's wishes were to be cremated. A private service will be held at a date to be announced.

Ed will be missed by many friends and family. We played mixed doubles with he and Hilde for many years and always enjoyed good conversation and laughs. You have my condolences.
