Joseph Paul Cummings

1925 - 2014

JOSEPH PAUL CUMMINGS of Yorba Linda, formerly of Riverside, died on Jan. 3. He was born on June 28, 1925 in LaSalle, Illinois. He served in the Army Air Corps in WWII, graduated from Xavier University and taught Latin, German, Spanish and English at Central Junior High and Poly High in Riverside. He worked for the Riverside County Lumber Company for ten years and then returned to teaching at Damien High in La Verne. He is survived by Blanche, his wife of 65 years; his daughters Monica Reisig-Franotovich (Robert) of Croatia, Mary Cummings of Anaheim Hills; grandchildren Theresa (Reisig) Stack (David), David Cummings, Margaret Cummings and three great-grandchildren: Isabella, Patrick and Aiden Stack. Services will be held at St. Martin de Porres Catholic Church in Yorba Linda on Feb. 15 at 10 a.m.
