Barbara Lee Paulin

Barbara Lee Paulin, 80, of Daphne, AL, left the physical plane for life in the spirit on May 17th, 2015. She passed in peace with her family by her side and loved ones already in spirit awaiting her arrival. She was born and grew up in Hamilton, NJ, and later lived in Albuquerque, NM, where she met and married an exceptional man, Ralph Paulin. In 1984, the Paulin family settled in Gulf Breeze, FL. Sadly, Ralph passed in 2001.

Barbara's life was about communication, her passion being the written word. She began writing short stories at the age of ten, often contributed articles to magazines, and saw her book on meditation and intuition, "Path of Promise, Path of Peace" published in 1995. Ms. Paulin was working on a second book of nonfiction at the time of her passing.

Barbara understood that we all are spiritually connected and thus we all are family. Her strengths were her compassion for those in pain and a deep appreciation for all of the blessings given her, especially a wonderful array of friends.

Barbara was predeceased by her husband, Ralph Paulin; her parents, Mable and John Adams; her brother, Barry Adams, and her beloved grandson, Devon Sweat.

She is survived by her daughters, Lisa MacKenzie (Ken) of Fairford, England and Shannon Teichmann (Tim) of Celeste, TX; Son, Christopher Rupell (Patricia) of Daphne, AL; granddaughters Danica Hebner (Jeff) of Navarre, FL, Tiffany Sweat of Lorton, VA, and Kayleigh Sweat of Baltimore, MD; grandson, Biniam Fox-Berhane of Sherman, TX; Brother, William Adams (Mickey) of San Angelo, TX; three great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

In keeping with Barbara's wishes and her unwavering belief that life is ongoing and there is no true separation, there will not be a public service. Memorial donations may be made to Adopt-a-Kitty, 8021 Fordham Road, Mobile, AL 36619, or to your local non-kill animal organization.
