Joan McGrath Obituary
Joan, age 84, passed peacefully in Pensacola, FL on December 27,2012. Beloved wife of Francis Charles McGrath. Mother of Francis Jr., William, Marylouise, Jeanne Marie, Charles and Patricia Ann. A native of Jersey City, NJ, and daughter of William McDermott and Kathryn Graham, Joan was a graduate of Chestnut Hill College in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After receiving a master's degree in fashion merchandising from New York University in 1950, she devoted her life to her family both at home and at work. She will forever be remembered and respected by all who knew her. Joan is survived by her husband of 61 years, Francis Charles, her six children, nine grandchildren (Shaun, Scott, Angela, Liam, William, Kaitlyn, Matthew, Gae-Charles, and Christopher) and one great-grandchild, Isabella Mia. A memorial mass will be held Saturday at 12:00 noon at Holy Spirit Church, Gulf Beach Highway, Pensacola, FL.
