Ada Holbert Obituary
Mrs. Holbert retired as switchboard operator for Chesapeake General Hospital. She was a wonderful wife of 67 years, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and great-great grandmother.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Holbert, Sr.; a son, Phillip Levi Holbert; three sisters; and one brother.
She is survived by a daughter, Vickie L. Gaitley; four sons, Paul Holbert, Jr. and wife Sandra, Mark A. Holbert and wife Sandy, Mike Holbert and partner Tasha and Anthony Holbert and wife Rhonda; fifteen grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren; and two great-great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1 PM on Tuesday, August 1, 2023 at the Sturtevant Funeral Home Portsmouth Blvd Chapel. The family will receive from 6-7:30 PM Monday evening at the funeral home. She will be laid to rest with her late husband at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veteran's Cemetery.
