Anthony Rainone Obituary

Anthony J. Rainone
Franklin - Anthony James "Tony" Rainone, 78, passed away July 5, 2012 at Southampton Memorial Hospital. Born in The Bronx, New York, he was a son of the late Luigi and Helen Rainone and was predeceased by his wife, Shirley Bowden "Cheryl" Rainone. Tony served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Wisconsin from 1952 to 1956. He was a member of St. Jude's Catholic Church and the former owner and operator of Head to Toe Beauty Salon in the Plaza Shopping Center in Franklin. An avid outdoorsman, Tony was a member of Newsoms Hunt Club.
Left to cherish his memory is his four children, Teresa Reichert and husband, Jim Reichert, Louis Rainone, Tony Rainone, Jr. and Mark Rainone, beloved nephew, Larry Rainone, grandchildren, Christopher, Michael, Amber and Trent, great grandchildren, Michael, Darren, Desiree, Riley and Ashton and brothers, Lou and Don Rainone.
A memorial service will be held at 7 p.m., Tuesday, July 17 at Wright Funeral Home with Father Charles Saglio officiating. The family suggests that memorials be made to St. Jude's Catholic Church, 1014 Clay Street, Franklin, VA 23851. www.wrightfuneralhome.org.
