Mamie Spruill Obituary
Portsmouth - Mamie L. Spruill 64, passed on July 11, 2012 in Golden Living Nursing Home. She was born in Portsmouth, Va and was member of Mt Hermon Baptist Temple.
She leaves to cherish her memories two daughters, Caressa Cooper (Garland), Tonia Arrington Hill; her father Lynn T. Spruill (Norma); a sister Lynnell Spruill; two brothers, Tyrone Spruill (Barbara); Craig Brown (Angela); four grandchildren, one great grandchild, host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her mother Rachel Spruill and a brother Maurice Spruill.
Funeral services Tues 12 Noon Mt. Hermon Baptist Temple, Dr. Leo Whitaker, pastor of church, by Rev. Leon J. Boone. Burial will be in Lincoln Memorial Cemetery. The family will be at 2131 Haverford Drive, Chesapeake, VA. Viewing will begin on Mon from 11 to 7 p.m. The body will be in church at 11 a.m. on Tues. The family will assemble at the funeral home at 11:15 am on Tuesday. Fisher Funeral Home 1520 Effingham Street, Portsmouth, VA.

What a wonderful and sweet person that we have lost. Yvette your mother was A dear friend and always full of smiles and joyous statements. She will be missed but in our hearts and minds forever. Just wanted to let you know that you all are in our thoughts and prayers. Mrs. Spruill was VERY good to us when she was our afterschool bus driver at Norview High School. She kept us all in check!!! Yet, we knew she really cared about us!!!
