Michael Nunley Obituary
Chesapeake - Michael Rand Nunley, 52, passed away peacefully on August 17, in the early morning. He was preceded in death by his wife of 24 years, Daleine Redford Nunley. He worked for 30 years as a CAD Designer. Michael is survived by two children, a daughter, Taryn Noelle Nunley, and a son, Rand William Estil Nunley, and a brother, Robert "Butch" Nunley. A memorial service will be held at the Portsmouth First Church of the Nazarene on August 31, at 7pm. In lieu of flowers, please consider making financial gifts toward Taryn and Rand's education. I remember Mike a long time ago when I first moved to Chesapeake - it was 1983. Had met Butch, Michael's brother at JMU. When I came to Chesapeake to attend Regent University - Michael's family kind of took me in - a family away from home. I remember Michael as being so kind as was his entire family. I don't understand any of this but have to believe that Michael and Daleine are together again. My deepest sympathies to the family. God bless you all. Michael Wheeler.

So sorry to hear of Mike's passing. I met him years ago at CDI Marine and enjoyed working with him during my short time there and his friendship. Had a lot of laughs with him and the guys we worked with. Only saw him a few times beyond that, as life got in the way unfortunately.
Mike was always nice, had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh.
Sorry for the loss to his family and I pray for you all during this time.
