Michelle L. Phillips

Virginia Beach - Chellie passed away on March 25, 2014. She was born on October 3, 1945 in Buffalo, NY. She retired from Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Her passion was sports and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Chellie was a member of Courthouse Community United Methodist church where she served on many committees and helped with the food pantry. She was a very loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Chellie was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mary LaLonge and her husband of 38 years, Dewayne Phillips.

She is survived by her sons Todd and Sean Phillips, daughter Wende Phillips, grandchildren Dillin, Branden, Kyleigh, Reagan, and Kole, sisters Laurie Carroll and Kathy Robertson, and brothers Russell and Gary LaLonge as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother in laws, and extended family members.

A memorial service will be held on March 28 at 11 a.m. at Courthouse Community United Methodist Church, 2708 Princess Anne Road, Virginian Beach. Memorial donations may be made to Courthouse Community United Methodist Church or Sentara Hospice House. You may offer your condolences at www.smithandwilliamsfuneralhome.com.
