Michelle Phillips Obituary
Virginia Beach - Chellie passed away on March 25, 2014. She was born on October 3, 1945 in Buffalo, NY. She retired from Virginia Beach City Public Schools. Her passion was sports and enjoyed playing golf and tennis. Chellie was a member of Courthouse Community United Methodist church where she served on many committees and helped with the food pantry. She was a very loving mother, sister, grandmother, aunt, and friend. Chellie was preceded in death by her parents, Lewis and Mary LaLonge and her husband of 38 years, Dewayne Phillips.
She is survived by her sons Todd and Sean Phillips, daughter Wende Phillips, grandchildren Dillin, Branden, Kyleigh, Reagan, and Kole, sisters Laurie Carroll and Kathy Robertson, and brothers Russell and Gary LaLonge as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, sister and brother in laws, and extended family members.
A memorial service will be held on March 28 at 11 a.m. at Courthouse Community United Methodist Church, 2708 Princess Anne Road, Virginian Beach. Memorial donations may be made to Courthouse Community United Methodist Church or Sentara Hospice House. You may offer your condolences at www.smithandwilliamsfuneralhome.com.

My cousins and I lost a wonderful aunt, my brother a wonderful godmother, my mom and her siblings an amazing sister, and my cousins Todd, Wende, and Sean and their children, a strong mother and grandmother . My thoughts are with my family. She will be missed.

Wende and family...keeping you in my thoughts and prayers!! May you feel God's love and strength especially at this time of loss!! Your Mom will be missed!! She was an amazing person and did fight that battle for as long as she could!!! Now she is whole again...no more battle and no more suffering!!!
