To the sons of Mr. Yavner,
I want you to know that your father had a kind soul and a gentle touch. I did not know him well but what I did know and witnessed, was a man of many gifts. No matter how badly he must have been feeling he was always cheerful for my friends' family who had a loss of their own this Spring, not long after your mother past away. Your father kept everyone smiling and looking at life half full and not half empty. I wish I was able to spend more time with him but I was only there towards his last days at the hospital. He truly was an honorable man, someone who is rare to find and never replaceable.

I would like to thank Mr. Yavner for supporting my family and becoming a close friend a Beth Shalom, most of all I want everyone to know what an incredible person Mr. Yanver was. He became an extended member of my family, a second great grandfather to my children. Mr. Yavner never complained about his illness or how much pain he was having. Not only did he have a wonderful sense of humor and way of looking at life, but he was a man of many inventions. The Rachet Wrench in 1952, a headrest for women getting their hair done and numerous other inventions and contributions that have made life so much easier for everyone. I was told he was a quiet man but when I met him he was full of life and very talkative. He gave to everyone until he could give no more, never asking for anything in return. May you rest in peace and know that your life was a gift to all who had the honor of knowing you.
