PEORIA - Irene B. Johnson, 80, of Peoria died at 1:15 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
She was born on April 9, 1926, in Aurora, Ill., a daughter of John and Katherine Schuster Baumann. She married Louis E. Johnson on May 4, 1963, in Aurora. He survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Susan (Jayson) Algas, Julie (Frank) Ierulli and Leah (Mike) Dafforn, all of Peoria; and seven grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother and three sisters.
Irene worked as a secretary at Northern Illinois Gas in Aurora. In the Peoria area, she worked and retired from Country Companies Insurance.
She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church in Peoria, where a funeral Mass will be at 11 a.m. Friday, April 21, 2006. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria, with a prayer service at 6:45 p.m. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Peoria.
Memorials may be made to Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation.
