To the Family, May you find tranquility in knowing that friends and loved ones share in the loss of your dearly departed. Mike was a very special person to many and a dear friend to my wife and I, our children were very fond of him too. Thank you Mike for your great handy work and laughs at your jokes and riddles. LOL. He will always have a place in our hearts. Thank you Carol and family for sharing him with us. May God keep you in His strength.

Emily and I are very sad to hear of Mike's passing. Our thoughts and prayers are with Carol and the family. Although we had not seen one another in many years, I have always considered Mike a friend. I have fond memories of teaching Sunday School with Mike in the basement of the old Bethany Baptist Church. There were times we traveled to his parent's farm in Avon to resupply our wood for the winter. On one trip Mike drove through a field full of dips and ruts speeding up as we went. As he hung on to the steering wheel I was bouncing around the cab looking for something to grab onto much to Mike's delight. His ready smile and laughter are what I remember most about Mike. I also admired his ability to consistently reinvent himself for a changing job market. There didn't seem to be anything he couldn't do. As I visited him in the hospital after his industrial accident there was no despair, no "why me" thinking. Mike knew God meant even this for good. As the song goes "Go rest high on that mountain son, your work on earth is done". For me this is Mike's song.
