Albert Seese Obituary

Albert Walter Seese, 71, of Canadensis passed away on Friday at the VA Hospital in Philadelphia. He was the husband of Viola M. (Argot) Seese for 43 years.

Born on April 30, 1931, in Canadensis, he was the son of the late Walter O. and Charlotte (LaBar) Seese.

Albert worked for the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation as an equipment operator for 22 years, until he retired in 1985. He served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1958. He was a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans Chapter 44 of East Stroudsburg, a member of the Blind Veterans Association and a member of the Barrett Lions Club in Barrett Township. He also enjoyed hunting and gardening. Albert was a resident of Monroe County most of his lifetime.

In addition to his wife Viola, who resides at home, he is survived by four sons, Dan W. Seese of Nashville, N.C., Paul J. Seese of Duluth, Minn., Larry A. Seese of Canadensis, and Kevin E. Seese, at home; one stepson, Jerry W. Seese of Greentown; one stepdaughter, Loralee Hare of Collegeville; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and one sister, Emma Staples of Susquehanna. Many nieces and nephews also survived him.

A memorial service will be held at Canadensis Moravian Church in Canadensis on Tuesday, Jan. 28, at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Ronald Erb officiating.

In lieu of flower, the family would appreciate memorial donations to be made to The Seeing Eye, P.O. Box 375, Morristown, N.J. 07963-0375.
