Evelyn Farrow Obituary
PORT CLINTON: Evelyn E. Farrow, 97, of Port Clinton, OH, passed away Friday, October 27, 2017 at Elmwood Assisted Living of Fremont. She was born near Oak Harbor, OH on September 25, 1920, a daughter of Frederick & Nina (Yeisley) Kroeger.
Evelyn worked at the Defense Construction Supply Center, and enjoyed gardening and sewing in her spare time. She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church, Port Clinton, and the Priscilla Circle of the church. Evelyn was also a member of the IWG Club of Lacarne, and Riverview Auxiliary.
On November 23, 1939, she married Leslie E. Farrow, and he preceded her in death on November 4, 2006. Evelyn is survived by her children, James L. (Sharon) Farrow, Oak Harbor, and Sherry A. McGonigle, Wernersville, PA; grandchildren, Gary (Sherry) Farrow, Michael Farrow, Jennifer Williams, Heather (Ron Ridgway) McGonigle, and Arthur (Rebecca) McGonigle; great- grandchildren, Patrick Farrow, Taylor Williams, Amber, Emily, and Ty McGonigle; and sister-in-law, Lois Kroeger. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Les; brother, Frederick "Fritz" Kroeger; sisters, Helen Foss, Ethel Brough, and Mary Immel; and son-in-law, Arthur McGonigle.
Friends may call after 10:00 A.M. Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Crosser Funeral Home & Cremation Service, Oak Harbor, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Interment will follow at Rusha Cemetery, Carroll Township. Memorial contributions may be made to St. John Lutheran Church, 207 Adams St., Port Clinton, OH 43452.
