To Archie Patterson III and family,
It was with great sadness that I read of the death of your father. My own father's funeral was last Friday.
Your dad delivered milk to my family and was also our insurance man (bet you never knew that). What I remember most, though, was that he gave me an interview when I was in high school for my first story for the "Panther Post" at Roosevelt High. He even provided me with an 8 1/2 x 10 glossy of himself for the article. The story was on the front page and I was an instant celebrity!:-)
Your dad is not gone for to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord. And he will live forever in your heart.
Well wishes,
Armor Johnson

Sister Patterson:
I love you so much and my prayers are with you at this difficult time. Brother Patterson was such an awesome man of God. I have learned so much about the Word of God just by being in his presence as he shared his vast knowledge of the Bible with our Bible Study Group. His absence will truly be felt. But, Sister Patterson, I am more than confident that Brother Patterson is now at home with the Lord, as you well know. I trust these expressions of love and concern coupled with that knowledge will serve to encourage your heart. If you need me, please don't hesitate to call. God bless and keep you.

Just wanted to give my condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Archie E. Patterson, Jr. I knew Mr. Patterson from attending First Baptist. He always seemed to be in good spirits and was always involved in the church in some capacity or another. Most of the memories I have of him are those from when he assisted in teaching our senior high Sunday School classes. Most importantly, Mr. Patterson was a man of God and he will be missed by the First Baptist family. My prayers are with his friends and family during this time of grievance.

To Mrs. Patterson, Archie III, family members and friends, our prayers and warmest thoughts are with you now for your loved one was someone I felt privileged to know.
John 14:1-3 (King James Version) says: Let not your heart be troubled: ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions: if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also.
Thinking of you at this time and extending heartfelt understanding.
