Channie Gayden Obituary

CHANNIE ENNIX GAYDEN Age 96, was born in Hillsboro, Alabama. She died Monday, February 23, 2004, at Methodist Hospital Northlake after an extended illness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Helen Ennix, sisters, Eva Ennix, Leona Smith, Helen Davis, & granddaughter, Suzette Williams. She leaves to cherish her memories: a son, Reuben Gayden, Jr., of Gary; daughter, Arlene (Guy) Williams of Martinsburg, WV, and sister, Lillie Chandler of Gary; grandchildren, Patrice Gayden of Chicago, IL, Linda Wilson, Edgar Dearring and Richard Dearring of San Antonio, TX, Leslie Amos olf Atlanta, GA, Perry Bevels of Washington, DC, William Bevels Jr. Woodbridge, VA, Pamela (Ralph) Turner of Baltimore, MD, Dionis Gaines of German-town, MD, Phillip (Ann) Bevels of Clarksville, TN, Angela (Tim) Hodges of Tucson, AZ; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 1, 2004, at 11:00 a.m. at First A.M.E. Church, 2001 Massachusetts St., Gary. Rev. Lewis E. Grady Jr., officiating. Visitation will begin at 9:00 a.m. with the family hour at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Oak Hill Cemetery. Professional services rendered by Guy & Allen Funeral Directors, Inc., 2959 W. 11th Ave., Gary.
