Darryl, Rev. Sylvia, Alma, Gwen,Gia and the entire Turner Family my prayers are with you during this time of loss.

Memories are our best record of a life's journey on earth. Florence was truly a kind and gentle soul that embodied this earth. As we remininsce through the anals of time we will look at her contributions towards her loved ones, family, friends, neighbors and those she touched.

I shall never forget those trips to Dairy Queen, the park, beach and at Christmas driving through various neighborhoods to view lights in the infamous orange car (I can't remember the model). She didn't have to fill her car with a bunch of energetic children, but she did so willingly and out of love.

One thing I know is that she loved her sons very much, they were her life source.

Now Florence resides with her Creator who prepared a place for her in His Father's house, where the streets are paved of gold, the land of milk and honey, where everyday is Sunday, and the heavenly choir is praising continuously. Oh what a day it will be when we too shall be caught up to meet Him.

God be with each of you.

Love always,

Elaine Turner

Dear Family,

I was deeply touched to hear of Florence's death. My memories of her are fond ones as I remember her as a kind, thoughtful and gentle person. Although you will miss her it will only be for a little while (if you are faithful) for God has given us specific promises about those who die and are true Christians. Read what He tells us in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18

"But I do not want you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning those who have fallen asleep, lest you sorrow as others who have no hope. For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so God will bring with Him those who sleep in Jesus. For this we say to you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive and remain until the coming of the Lord will by no means precede those who are asleep.

For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first:

Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.

Wherefore comfort one another with these words."

So, be comforted.

I will miss Cousin Florence, she was a very loving person. I will never forget the summer in 1966 that I stayed with Aunt Ellie and Uncle Cleve, and how Florence took me under her wings and made sure that I

had a good time, I will cherish her memory always. Love Robert Turner Jr.

My Dearest Cousins Darryl, Jeanette & Family-

Please know that Aunt Florence is resting comfortably in Jesus' arms. She no longer has to deal with the pain and suffering. My dearest Aunt Florence always offered great advice, kind words, & creative words of wisdom to those who would listen. She also had a great sense of humor! We use to talk on the phone everyday, numerous times a day before she got sick! I remember vividly the last time we talked on the phone.

She use to take you, Michael, myself and one or two or my friends to the Dairy Queen and McDonalds at least twice a week. We always had fun with her! She also took us to Sunday School at First A.M.E. Church where we got the early teachings of Jesus Christ. I am so thankful that she took time to do that. She knew the Lord which is a great and wonderful thing! Please remember and put in practice the teachings for your own children, they will be grateful to you!

THANK YOU for being there, AUNT FLORENCE, when I needed you the most! You were my second mom and you always knew you had a SPECIAL PLACE in my heart!

Cousin Darryl & family lift your eyes to Jesus, he will carry you through this transition. Barry & I are here for you, Jeanette, & the kids. We love you!

Your Family,

GiaSchell, Barry, Lil Gwen, Bria & Barry McCoy, Jr
