Lorraine Feneck Obituary
She was born November 4, 1930 in Gary, IN to the late Joseph and Antoinette Piontek. Lorraine was married on September 3, 1948 to Harold Feneck.
Lorraine is survived by her 4 children: Angela (Tod) Vidovich, Lisa Shrode, Scott (August Calabrese) Feneck, Thomas Feneck; grandchildren: Melissa, Amanda, Danielle, Rebecca, James, Abby, Ann and Joshua; sisters: Stella (late Leo) Lacny and Antoinette (late Mike) Mihal; brother, Chester (late Theresa) Piontek; and many nieces and nephews. Lorraine and Antoinette were not only twins but best friends. Toni has not only lost her casino buddy but her fellow good cook.
Lorraine was preceded in death by her husband, Harold Feneck; sisters: Ann (late Randy) Hubka, Sophia Piontek; brothers: Ed (late Lauretta) and Joe (late Ida) Piontek.
Lorraine was a graduate of Lew Wallace High School and worked for many years at Gary Title Company & Ss Peter & Paul Catholic School Cafeteria. She was a former member of Ss Peter & Paul Catholic Church and a current member of Holy Martyrs Catholic Church. Lorraine was a longtime member of the American Legion Auxiliary Unit #207.
Friends may visit with the family on Friday, May 12, 2023 at Geisen-Pruzin Funeral & Cremation Services, 6360 Broadway, Merrillville, IN 46410 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
Prayers will be held at the Funeral Home at 10:00 AM on Saturday, May 13, 2023 with Mass of Christian Burial to follow at Holy Martyr Catholic Church at 10:30 AM, 801 W. 73rd Ave. Merrillville, IN 46410 with Fr. Ted Mauch officiating.
She will be laid to rest at Calumet Park Cemetery in Merrillville, IN.
