Martha J. Ouellette

Ouellette, Martha J. (nee Paryczek) A native of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away in Yorba Linda, California on February 15, 2014. She was 80. Martie was a loving Mom to Steve Adams, Holland, MI and Melody (Greg) Funk, Yorba Linda, CA. Known as 'Gam', she was a Grandma, extraordinary playmate and adventure guide to Erica and Megan Funk, Stacey Casko and Steven Raab. She reprised that role for an encore performance when her great-grandchildren, Kayla, Luke, Austin and Alissa came along. Even late in life, very little could keep her from getting down on the floor to engage in a lively game of doctor, beauty parlor or Star Wars combat. She could wield a sword better than Darth Vader and knew the way to little girls hearts was in playing dress up and doctor with babies galore! The biggest part of her heart belonged to children. She was the ultimate playmate. Very few could make the remarkable connection that she could make with children so naturally and effortlessly. She was preceded in death by her parents, John and Marie Paryczek; sister, Libby Henderlong, Crown Point, IN; two brothers, Jim and Johnny Paryczek; and daughter-in-law, Sharon Adams, Holland MI. Private funeral services are being conducted by Chapman Funeral Home, Orange, CA. In lieu of flowers or donations, honor her life by telling somebody how much they mean to you, today.
