Terrion Moore Obituary

Moore, Terrion "TJ" Was born on November 3, 1994 in Gary, IN. He was the first of three children and the only son born to Anita Holmes and Otis Moore. TJ lived in Buffalo, MN, Noblesville, IN, Fort Wayne, IN and most recently Indianapolis, IN. He was a friend to many and will forever be remembered for his smiling face and warm embrace. TJ was very active in sports. He ran track, played football and wrestled throughout his high school years. He graduated from Arlington High School in Indianapolis, Indiana in May 2013. It was a proud day on August 24, 2013 when TJ announced to his family that he had enlisted in the United States Air Force. He was proud of his accomplishments and looked forward to his future. Any one of his friends would tell you that he was very protective of those he loved and that he truly had a heart of gold. He loved kids and had an amazing sense of humor. His smile alone would melt your heart. On February 11, 2014, TJ left for Basic Training at Lackland Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. It was not long afterwards that God called him home on February 20, 2014. TJ leaves to cherish his memory: his beloved mother, Anita Holmes; father, Otis Moore; sisters, Tia and Toya Moore; grandmother, Diana (YaYa) Walls; great-grandmother, Essie (Ma'am) Holmes; aunt, Chrystal Porter (Titi); special cousins, Courtney Porter and Alesha Tindal; godsister, Aaliyah Crouch; and special friends, Malika and Crystal Cavalier; 2 great-aunts, Ruthie (Muma) Redmon and Valerie (Aunti Val) Brown; 2 great-uncles, Dwight and Lewis Jones. He also leaves behind a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends. We thank God for blessing us and allowing TJ to be with us for 19 years. We love him so much, but God loves him more. Visitation Monday, March 3, 2014 from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. Family hours 6:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. at the Guy & Allen Chapel 2959 W. 11th Avenue. TJ may be viewed at the church from 10:00 a.m. until time of service. Funeral service Tuesday, March 4, 2014 at 1:00 p.m. at New Mt. Olive M.B. Church. 427 W. 23rd Avenue. Pastor Charles A. Floyd II officiating. Interment Evergreen Memorial Park, Hobart, Indiana.

From another air force family who has also lost a beloved son and brother: We are so sorry for your loss, the depth and pain of which can not be put into words. We pray that you will be surrounded by people who will help and support you as you walk this hard road, and may the Lord's peace and comfort give you strength to get through each moment. Your son is our hero, and your sacrifice on behalf of our country is not forgotten. God bless you.

To my loving family,
I find myself more there with you all; than I am right here where I stand. The Distance between us is not as nearly as great as my love, thoughts and prayers are for you all now at this time. In the same way, I am reminded that all the Love and joy TJ gave so freely will live on in your hearts forever.

Please stay strong and continue to trust God! Remember that He will do All that he has promised!

John 14:1-4 “Let not your hearts be troubled. Believe in God; believe also in me. In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also. And you know the way to where I am going.”

I Love you all so very much.

I had the privilege to teach TJ at Arlington High School. He was always mannerable and would comment on how nice I looked hoping it would lessen his workload. I could always count on him to make my day a joyous occassion. He was a remarkable young man and I truly enjoyed being his teacher. My prayers go out to his family and friends.
