Velimir Stojanovic Obituary

VELIMIR STOJANOVIC Hobart, Indiana Velimir Stojanovic of Hobart, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2007 at the VNA Hospice Center in Valparaiso, Indiana. He is survived by his loving wife, Taline of 61 years; his children include, Milorad "Butch" (Cammie Benson) Stojanovic and Vera (Yuzo) Chino; 4 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and many relatives in Yugaslavia. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Angela Lara-Trowbridge. Funeral Mass wil be held on Thursday, September 6, 2007 at 10 a.m. directly from St. Sava Serbian Orthodox Church, 9191 Mississippi St, Merrillville with Rev. Marko Matic officiating. Burial will follow at Calumet Park Cemetery. The visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 5, 2007 from 2-6 p.m. at Calumet Park Funeral Chapel 7535 Taft St, Merrillville, IN with a Pomen Prayer Service offered at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Velimir retired from US Steel with 29 years of service. He also served in the Yugoslavia and British Armies. May his memory be eternal.
