Alfred Sommerfeld Obituary
Hortonville - Alfred Leo Sommerfeld, age 86, passed away Saturday, December 12, 2020 of heart failure following knee surgery. Alfred was born on May 20, 1934 in Shell Lake, to the late Leo and Rosetta (Scott) Sommerfeld. He graduated from Siren High School in 1953. Alfred served his country in the US Army. On January 9, 1982, he married the love of his life, Amber Larson. They enjoyed 38 wonderful years together. Al loved Amber, his children, his fur-babies, his grandchildren, life and travel.
Alfred left behind the love of his life, Amber; daughters, Rosemary (Steve) Olson, Susie (Andy) Betts and Sherry Heaton; grandchildren, Shane (Kristin), Jordan (Danielle), Justin (Missy), Stephanie (Bill), Jenna (Andrew), Ashley, Andrew, Steven, Richie (Ashley) and Diana (Bengi); brothers, Harold (Virginia) and Ted (Donna) and sisters-in-law, JoAnn Sommerfeld and Kris Glenn. He is further survived by other relatives and SO many friends.
Alfred is preceded in death by his son, Michael; grandsons, Daniel and Bobby; his parents, Leo and Rose; father and mother-in-law, Charles and Jessie Larson and brothers, Raymond (Brenda) and Marvin.
Per Alfred's wishes, no funeral services will be held.
The family wishes to thank the Dale First Responders, Gold Cross Ambulance and ThedaCare Regional Medical Center in Appleton-5th floor ICU.

Alfred was a very special person always had a smile on his face laughter in his sole and a twinkle in his eye. He will be missed by all who knew him especially his family. My heart and prayers go out to all of them.
