He was a great Doctor and kind and gentle man. He delivered me 50 years ago and my oldest son, as one of the last Appleton Memorial babies 28 years ago. He touched many lives and you must be very proud

Gretchen and family:

I am so sorry to hear about the loss of your father. He had adopted a few dogs from me in the past, and was a customer at my business. He was a great man and will be missed. Cindy and Jeff Filz

Your dad was my favorite physician. He delivered all five of my children and I went to him for over 25 years, in fact the first visit was when he was still at his office on Superior and Wisconsin. Have thought of him so often.

Dr. Petersen was a wonderful caring man. As my first doctor he was so patient and kind with me as I was a young, scared pregnant woman. I am praying for the Petersen family at this time of Dr. Petersen's passing.

This man was the guiding light for the birth of our children! I was the first "father" allowed to witness birth at Appleton Medical Center - and am glad it is now a normal procedure. We will miss this kind capable man who is always a part of our family.
