Gertrude Norton Obituary
She was born on March 14, 1918, in Bolton Landing. She was the daughter of the late Grover and Addie Wilson Kent.
Peggy lived in Wilton, for many years before moving to Queensbury in 1997.
Peggy was a clerk for Scoville Jewelers in Glens Falls for many years.
She was of the Episcopal Faith.
Peggy was predeceased by her brother, Grover Kent Jr. and his wife, Marion, her husband, Franklin H. Norton, who died on May 2, 1997, after 57 years of marriage, and a nephew, James Kent.
Peggy is survived by her sisters-in-law, Ursula (Sue) Monroe of Warrensburg and Dorcas Baker of Queensbury; a brother-in-law, Guy Baker of Warrensburg and several nieces and nephews.
Peggy will be buried at a later date at Bolton Rural Cemetery.
Our many, many thanks go to the staff at Stanton Nursing Center, Especially the West Wing for the professional, wonderful loving care they gave Peggy. They also were very helpful, friendly and caring to her family.
Arrangements are by Wilton Funeral Home, 395 Ballard Road, Wilton, N.Y.
