Our prayers and thoughts are with you all. We will always remember Timmy for his willingness to welcome all to his family.

Pictures I remember the most:

Timmy carving a Thanksgiving turkey in his special style.

Teaching Trae to use a hammer.

Being there for a niece who needed his help.

Putting up a cover so it wouldn't rain on Gabe and Catlin's party.

We did not know him long enough but he was a member of our family.

We are here for his family and will see them soon. Carol, Bert and Tony

Timmy

Eulogy Delivered by Tina DiLorenzo-Babin

When you work in the business environment, the experts tell you to keep 3 x 5 cards with notes for speeches (for every occasion) in your pocket so you’re prepared if you have to speak in front of a group. Well, I didn’t have any 3 x 5 cards prepared for this. In my mind, this day wasn’t a possibility. I somehow expected that no matter what happened, Timmy would always pick himself up, dust himself off and just “get on with it”; because, that is what Timmy did – he “just got on with it”!

So, when I sat down to write this, I had to try to figure out what Timmy would have wanted me to say -- what he would have wanted us to remember about him and the way he lived his life.

Timmy was a lot of things to a lot of people. He was a husband, a dad, an uncle, a nephew, a son, a grandfather and a brother.

- He was the “Monty Hall of Corinth, New York;

- Our “Timmy Tooter on a scooter – “do da do da day” – I might add.

- “Timmy Kinevil”

- He was our “BATESIE”…

But more than anything else, he was a friend to everyone! Timmy knew no strangers, only friends he had yet to meet. His door was always open, a meal & a bed for you – no questions asked…

He’d give the shirt off is back to his best friend or an absolute stranger, and in his heart see no difference between the two.

So what would he want us to remember about him?

· That he was kind

· That he was generous

· That he lived his life to the fullest – Larger than life and loving it!

· He would have wanted us to be happy

· He’d remind us to care of each other. Not just today, not just this week – but always – take care of each other.

· But most of all he’d want us to remember how much he loved us!

I found this saying that I think typifies how Timmy lived his life, and how he’d have wanted us to go on living ours:

“Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather, to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up and loudly proclaiming: “Damn – That was one Hell of a Ride!”
