Franklin Decker Obituary
LAGRANGEVILLE - Franklin R. Decker, 68 years old, a resident of LaGrangeville, NY, entered into eternal rest on Sunday, March 20, 2011 at Wingate at Ulster, Highland, NY.
He was born August 27, 1942 in Sharon, CT and was the son of the late George and Dorothy Mason Decker.
Frank served in the US Army from 1961 - 1963. He was a programmer with IBM in Poughkeepsie from 1962 until his retirement in 1997. Before he became ill in 1999, he enjoyed playing pool and was a member of the APA (American Pool Assoc.) and also enjoyed fishing and camping.
In the past ten years, he enjoyed spending time with his family and his loving companion and friend, his cocker spaniel, Lexi. He loved those trips to California, visiting his grandchildren, Bradley and Brittney. "Life up your heart and share with me. God wanted me now, He has set me free."
Frank is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Susan Zolko-Decker of LaGrangeville, NY; his son, William Decker and his daughter-in-law, Kathy, of Corona, CA; his grandchildren, Bradley and Brittney Decker; his stepchildren, Jason Zolko and his wife, Michele, and Syndi Acampora and her husband, Joseph; his step-grandchildren, James, III and Ashleigh Zolko; Ava, Alexa and Danica Acampora; his brothers, John, Jimmy and Alan Decker; his aunt, Barbara of Hartford, CT and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was predeceased by his step-son, James (Jamie) Zolko and his sister, Jeanette.
Per Frank's wishes, there will be no calling hours and funeral services are private.
Arrangements are under the direction of the Robert H. Auchmoody Funeral Home, 900 Rt. 82, Hopewell Junction, NY.

All the good memories have not been forgotten Frank, all the camping and fishing trips, and then there were the fun filled canoe trips just to mention a few. You and all the good times will be missed.

We miss Frank. We were just remembering camping in Oct with the snow and no heat. We were always able to laugh with you both.
