Curt Frantz Obituary
Curt A. Frantz, 48 of Iowa City died Thursday, July 2, 2015.
A gathering time for family and friends to remember Curt will be held from 4 to 7 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2015, at Gay & Ciha Funeral and Cremation Service. Followed by a time at Grizzlies. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in his memory. Online condolences may be sent for his family through the web @ www.gayandciha.com.
Curt Anthony Frantz was born January 2, 1967 in Iowa City, the son of Elmer and Mabelle. He attended schools in Iowa City, graduating from City High School in 1985. He has worked construction most of his adult life. Curt had many hobbies, fishing, camping, knife collecting but his favorite of all was tinkering in the shop. He loved sports, favorite times watching the Cubs always telling everyone next year is the year. He had a love for everything in life but his greatest love of all was his family and friends. He was our superhero, our rock he was our life. He will deeply be missed and forever be in our hearts.
His family includes his soulmate for life, Kim Reimers, who he shared their children, Miranda (Tyler Stinson), Drake, Libby, Aubrey and Tanner; granddaughter, Sophia; his mother, Mabelle; brother, Christian Frantz; and in laws, Dick and Ethel Reimers.

My thoughts and prayters also go out to Curts family and friends. I did not know Curt long just meeting him in 2011.He always could lift my spirits and and did often. He vwas like a big teddy bear but you knew he was stronger than an ox. he always talked about his family with that twinkle in his eye and you knew he was a big caring guy. i do beleive the good person Curt was has ended up in a wonderful place.
