Anna Charlier
of Binghamton
Anna Charlier, 76, of Binghamton, fell asleep in the arms of the Lord, Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2003. She was predeceased by her husband, Francis Charlier, her parents, Earl and Mary Layton, her sisters, Ida Hill, Loretta Howe, Beatrice Rought, Evelyn Sickles, Eva Mara and Minnie O'Brinsky, her brother, Earl Layton, Jr., her granddaughter, Margot Charlier and a son-in-law, Frank George. She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Francis and Mary Charlier, Robert and Pat Charlier, all of Johnson City; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Carol George, Linda and Bill Pratt, all of S.C., Mary and Richard Ramey, Conklin; her sister, Daisy Casciotti, Binghamton; 11 grandchildren; six great grandchildren and her dear friend, Ron Tokos, Binghamton. The family would like to thank the staff on 2 South at Willow Point Nursing Home and Lourdes Hospice for the loving care she received during her illness. As God holds her in his arms, we will hold her in our hearts forever. She was so loved and will be sadly missed.
Funeral services will be held at the J. F Rice Funeral Home, Inc., 150 Main St., Johnson City, Wednesday at 1 p.m. The Rev. David C. Seaver, Chaplain of Spiritual Care at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital will officiate. Burial will be in Vestal Hills Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home, Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. In lieu of flowers, those wishing may make memorial contributions to the Hospice Program c/o Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital, 169 Riverside Dr., Binghamton, N.Y. 13905 or a charity of their choice in Anna Charlier's memory.
