Charles Newton Obituary
Charles S. Newton Jr. was embraced in the Lords arms on Sunday, June 12, 2011. He is survived by his best friend and loving wife of 68 years Betty; son Darrell & Rosemary Newton, daughters Christie & Steve Thomas, Gigi & Kurt Kiehl; 4 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren. He was a man of strong faith who loved his family, airplanes and wildlife. He spent many hours watching his favorite hummingbirds. He was a WWII Veteran and retired from Crowley Foods after many years of service. We would like to express a special thank you to the staff of 1 Ross at Lourdes Hospital for their compassion and loving care. There will be a gathering of family and friends following the Memorial Service on Friday, June 17, 2011, 7pm at the West Windsor Baptist Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Charles' name to the West Windsor Baptist Church, 188 North Road, Windsor, NY 13865.

Lorie and I enjoyed the fellowship with you folks at Bethel and Russ with Charlie at the Mens Adventure and vension dinners at West Windsor. We had a unique bond with the two of you through Tim and Robin. Our prayers are with you.

My heart is filled with many, many, happy memories of my Uncle Charlie..He always had a smile and a laugh and a story or two..he certainly had a life that was well lived, my heart is filled with joy, cause when I cross that river, he will be on the other side

Charlie was uncle Charlie to me. Many times as a young boy and then as a man Charlie would spend much time with me and with my family. In the 1960's Charlie was my boss at Crowleys Milk in Binghamton. Then in the 1990's I became his boss at Mister Koffee Service.My children just loved to visit the Newtons. I am glad that Charlie was my uncle. Richard Miles NC
