Mrs. Ethel M. Wildner, age 82 years of Unionville, passed away Saturday, August 2, 2008. She was the eldest daughter of Garnold
and Mary (Marvin) Hinman. She was born in Unionville on July 12, 1926, and married Clarence L. Wildner on November 8, 1947. He preceded her in death December 10, 2002. Ethel was a music-lover, and was active in the Unionville United Methodist Church, where she enjoyed playing the piano and hammered dulcimer. She was also active in the Nomads, and was an enthusiastic quilter with her friends at the Moravian Church. She also had been a 4-H Leader for several years.
Surviving are her children, Gloria Gonzales of Bay City, Kay (Gunther) Romoslawski of Flushing, Alice (Randy) Tumblin of Mexico, Karl (Mary) Wildner of Port Washington, Wisconsin and Mary Williams living in Midland. Also surviving are twelve grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren, two brothers, Claude 'Don' and wife Kay Hinman of Indian River and Edward (Norma) Hinman of Manton, Michigan, and a sister-in-law, Barbara Hofmeister. She was preceded in death by a brother, Frank.
The funeral service will take place at eleven o'clock
Wednesday morning, August 6th at the United Methodist Church, with Rev. Alger T. Lewis officiating. The family has suggested memorials to the United Methodist Church or the Columbia Township Library. Visitation will be at Unionville Funeral Chapel on Tuesday between the hours of 2pm and 9 pm and at the church on Wednesday from 10 a.m. until service time.
