Elaine Fink Memoriam

In Loving Memory Elaine Fink January 19, 1951 - January 22, 2016 It has been two years since you lost your battle with breast cancer, three days after your 65th birthday. Elaine, you are greatly missed by me, Bella and your friends. After you passed, I donated your corneas. I was advised last year that your corneas were given to a person. Last year, the organization that handled the transplant had a luncheon to honor the donors and the families of donors. Very nice, but very sad. Love Mark and Bella

Ella

January 22, 2018

It was the year 2000 that you found a kitten that had been abandoned by its mother on the front porch of a home in Dillon Beach. You took this incredibly frail critter back to your home, kept it warm, tried to feed and brought her to your vet in the early am, where I worked. Your vet told you that she would care for it and give it a chance at survival. As the day passed, it became very apparent that someone would have to take the tiny creature home to feed during the night. I decided I would try to care for her, but I wasn't optimistic, because she was so small, still had her umbilical cord attached. I told my husband that I would find her a home as soon as I knew she was going to make it. The first time that he bottle fed her, he said she has a home. So began our love affair for the next sixteen years. Ella was a gorgeous kitty and loved my husband. Sixteen years of incredible memories and we loved her so. We had to put Ella down in 2016, the same day I found out that you had passed away. Ella is back with you now and we feel it was meant to be. What a wonderful person you were, we thank you for such a gift. Never to be forgotten. Jim and Linda
