Paul Henri Durand Sr.

DURAND, Sr., Paul Henri March 28, 1919 - December 18, 2005. Retired U.S. Navy Captain Paul H. Durand, Sr., died peacefully at home in Pensacola, FL on Sunday, December 18, 2005 in the loving presence of family members Marc, Mary, Joy and Christa Durand of Santa Rosa, CA.  Deeply loved, Paul will be dearly missed by family and friends across the United States; especially by three generations of son Marc's family: Mary, Ross, Evonne, Nathan, Joel, Alicia, Christopher, Johnathan, Kathleen, Joy and Christa Durand. Inurnment was at Barrancas National Cemetery December 22, 2005 where Marc sang the Navy Hymn for his father (one of the Navy's first jet pilots) "Lord, guard and guide the men who fly Through the great spaces in the sky. Be with them always in the air In darkening storms or sunlight fair". Bless Paul, as then, now and always. Arrangements for a Memorial Mass January 18, 2006 are by Harper-Morris Memorial Chapel, Pensacola, FL. Memorial contributions may be made to St Jude's Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
