Dear Sweeney Family,
Growing up with Tod in Greenbrae made him a part of all the Tuckers lives and memories. We are grateful for that past, and have always appreciated knowing that the familiarity and friendship would be there whenever our paths crossed. Enjoy the smiles as you frequently remember Tod, and we will too.

Mr. Sweeney...what can I say other than MHS and the world has truly lost someone special. You were my teacher for 3 years and I can't begin to tell you all the great memories I have of you and your class. Your spirit as a teacher and person whas truly amazing...anyone who was lucky enough to have you graze their life knows it. You were there for all of us at MHS and I can't thank you enough for all that you have done. My daugher will be attending Montgomery next year and you were the one teacher I was hoping she would be luck enough to have and experience. MHS will not be the same without you. I know you'll keep em rolling with laughter up there. With love, Kimberly Williams, MHS Class of 1996

Sweendoggy, you were the best! MHS will be a sadder place without your charm and good humor. You were our fearless leader in Student Gov't 1993-96. I always loved coming back to visit you and Jackson and reminiscing. Keep 'em rollin' in the aisles up there - we'll see you later! Much love to your family.

Cheryl, Tyler and Austin, I knew Tod from the Loyola Rome Center. He was exactly as you describe him here. A real presence; very funny, and a good friend to all who knew him. I can see him with High School students; and especially as a loving husband and a great Dad.
I knew him only briefly. You are the lucky ones to have had him in your lives.
God Bless you all. Tod will be missed by all who knew him.
Sincerely,
Sue O'Shaughnessy Walsh

Mr. Sweeney was my teacher at Montgomery High school over 10 years ago. He was always making me laugh and I truly enjoyed being in his class. Thank you Mr. Sweeney! You may be gone but not forgotten.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Sweeney. He was a wonderful teacher with a LOT of personality! I will never forget when he and another teacher dressed up at an assembly. Mr. Sweeney was Neil Diamond, and the other (I think it was Mr. Jackson) was Barbra Streisand. They lip synched to "You Don't Bring Me Flowers Anymore." I still chuckle when I think of it. I called him Mr. Diamond the rest of my years at Montgomery. (Occasionally bowing, saying that I was not worthy.) In my yearbook, he signed, "I know I will see you at each one of my concerts! Always, Neil." What a wonderful man he was. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family and friends. He will be greatly missed. The world needs more people like Mr. Sweeney.
