William Sorg Obituary

SORG, Sr., William R. 61, passed away suddenly June 5, 2004 in Truckee, CA. Bill was born September 16, 1942 in San Francisco to Earl and Jeanette Sorg who preceded him in death. Before moving to Truckee in September of 2002, he had lived in Sonoma County for 31 years. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Jerri, children Stacie Burgin, Bill Sorg, Jr., Shannon Stone and Chris Sorg; sons-in-law Dan Burgin and Brad Stone, and daughters-in-law Cathy and Tracy Sorg. Proud grandpa to Greg Van Dyke, Jordan and Taylor Sorg, Danielle Sorg, Madison and Eveline Stone, and Ryan and Renee Burgin. Bill will also be missed by the many friends he had made over the years. A former Marine who served in Vietnam, Bill was very proud of his service to his country. He was also an avid 49er fan, loved to golf, hunt, fish and putter around in his vegetable gardens while living in Sonoma County. In lieu of services, a Celebration of Life for family and friends will be held June 26, 2004 at the home of Stacie and Dan Burgin, 191 Middle Rincon Rd., Santa Rosa, CA from 2:30 to 6:30 p.m.
